Shikiban
Behold the Hatsuyume Shikiban, a divination board that flashes one of 6 elements in its core by peering into the aetheric remnants of your hatsuyume.In addition, a number from 1 to 9 will be rolled, and I shall present you with your fortune for the year.
Symbolism
Each element relates to an augury symbol I will clarify for you. They are as followed:
Ice - Mountain
Mind
The mightiest peak of Hingashi, Daitenzan. The effort of climbing this sacred Mountain may lead to enlightenment.
Wind - Falcon
Dexterity
The Falcon’s eyes are sharp and will detect peril. Heed the bird’s call so it may keep you safe.
Lightning - Nasu
Dream
Nasu, or eggplant, is the most auspicious of symbols. Your dreams may come true if you nurture them.
Fire - Fan
Strength
The Fan relates to prosperous endeavors. Waving this fan may lead to abundant wealth.
Water - Pipe
Intelligence
The fluidity of a smoking Pipe signals a time for self-reflection and rest. One may enjoy leisure for the coming year.
Earth - Monk
Vitality
The Monk reminds us to care for our bodies and loved ones. Great health and support from close bonds may come from his visit.
